Luke Skywalker actor: Trump team full of 'really despicable people'

"Because if you look at what's being assembled for our government it's like, yikes. It's a who's-who of really despicable people," Mark Hamill told the Daily Beast in an article published Sunday. (AP Photo)

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill, aka Luke Skywalker, is in “total denial” about the election.

The 65-year-old, who is a longtime Democrat who donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, said he is “glad” he has a new show, “Pop Culture Quest,” to take his mind off of President-elect Trump’s incoming administration.

“Because if you look at what’s being assembled for our government it’s like, yikes. It’s a who’s-who of really despicable people,” Hamill told the Daily Beast in an article published Sunday.

Hamill isn’t the only “Star Wars” star to comment on the election this year. Carrie Fisher, who plays Princess (now Gen.) Leia Organa Solo, quipped in October that Trump is “absolutely” a “coke head,” following a second debate performance in which he sniffled a lot. Fisher herself has a history with drug addiction, and has admitted to trying cocaine.
